On the 21st April 2016, when Rome had the 2769th birthday, William Kentridge inaugurated the decoration of the walls of the river Tiber: Triumphs and Laments. Every thriumph is followed by suffering. The frieze erased from the dirty patina formed on the travertine walls. The decorations are showing some symbols of Rome such as the wolf, the victory who is writing on a shield from the Colomn of Trajan and the Angel on top of Castel Sant'Angelo.
