Pitigliano

Located on a tuff hill in the southern part of Tuscany, the small village of Pitigliano is declared one of the 100 most beautiful villages in Italy. The landscape around is typical of the Maremma Toscana.

The streets are narrow and the palaces are from the medieval ages. It's possible to see local seniors sitting on benchs outside their houses. Very interesting are the Jewish quarter and the Sinagoga.

In the first week of September many tourists are attracted to Pitigliano for the famous Wine Festival Cantine Aperte, where you can do wine tastings and try the good food specialities of Tuscany.
